The ESC600-4T silicon rod cutting machine is a specialized wire saw designed for the quantitative segmentation of rod-shaped monocrystalline silicon (polycrystalline silicon). It utilizes a circular diamond wire developed by our company as the cutting tool and is compatible with circular diamond wires of 0.35mm, 0.45mm, 0.5mm, and 0.6mm in diameter.

1. The equipment adopts a design where the cutting component moves, rather than the workpiece, resulting in a compact structure. For rod materials of the same length, the equipment's external dimensions are nearly half the size.
2. Due to the unique properties of silicon materials, the cutting component movement system uses hard rails instead of the more common screw guide rails. Hard rails have an irreplaceable advantage when dealing with hardened silicon sludge on the track, with a track lifespan of over 6 years (our first hard rail equipment has been in operation for 6 years, a figure that may continue to increase).
3. To ensure the parallelism of any cutting surface of silicon rods, the approach involves a scheme where the silicon rod material is clamped once without further movement to guarantee cutting parallelism. Additionally, the innovative use of elastic support significantly reduces edge chipping issues during cutting, with edge chipping data within 5mm.
4. The support platform can adjust the opening size of the V-shaped mouth to accommodate cutting of silicon rod materials of different diameters, making one device adaptable to nearly the entire range of product specifications.
5. The hydraulic lifting loading table makes loading easier and solves the issue of cutting into support components when cutting silicon rods at any position, resolving a complex problem with a simple solution (referencing complex solutions of peers).
6. An innovative tensioning scheme with elastic force sensors increases tension as the wire number changes. Simultaneously, the tension is maintained at the maximum value for that cutting cycle when the wire bow is cut off, enabling smooth transitions.
7. An intelligent tension protection system automatically releases some tension in the cutting system when not in operation to protect the wire and pulley groove from damage. When entering operational status, it quickly adjusts the tension to the required level within 2 seconds.
8. A continuous wire changing system successfully reduces the probability of abnormal wire breakage during the wire changing stage to near zero by slowly increasing wire tension during operation.
9. Various fail-safe designs and safety protections have been tested, accumulated, and validated over a period of 6 years.
   

   Operating Principle:

   The ESC600-4T silicon rod cutting machine places the silicon rod on the worktable during cutting. A cut is made at the marked position according to the cutting size requirements. The silicon rod does not need to be moved; the worktable horizontally feeds the appropriate dimensions based on the programmed settings to achieve quantitative segmentation cutting. The horizontal movement is driven by a displacement servo motor, ensuring precise sizing, with the ability to cut materials as thin as 0.5mm. The circular diamond wire serves as a specialized cutting tool, producing minimal cutting noise, low energy consumption, high cutting efficiency, reduced material wastage due to small kerfs, and smooth surfaces on silicon rods, achieving a "cutting with grinding" effect. This machine is a dual-purpose cutting machine for both wet and dry conditions, suitable for cutting rod materials under various working conditions. It can cut crystal rod sizes with maximum lengths and diameters reaching up to 2000mm x 600mm.
